Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Dear User, welcome to Yellow Package. By accessing or using our digital platforms-website, mobile application, and any other channel owned by Yellow Package; you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and applicable laws of Ghana. If you do not agree, you must not use our platforms or services.

User Eligibility

To use our platforms or services, a user must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. Users under 18 may use our services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate information, maintain account confidentiality, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account. We may suspend accounts for non-compliance or suspected fraud.

Our Services

Yellow Package offers delivery, real-time tracking, in-app wallet/payment, and e-commerce shopping. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services at any time.

Courier/Delivery Terms

All delivery requests are subject to availability of riders/droppers/drivers, serviceable locations, and verification of packages. Prohibited items include illegal goods, dangerous substances, firearms, and all other items restricted by the laws of Ghana. Owners and Receivers bear direct responsibility for packages that may violate any law or regulation.

Payments & Fees

Our platforms may accept payments via Mobile Money, Bank cards, Wallet balance, Cash etc. All charges are displayed before confirmation. You authorize us to process payments and applicable fees.

 

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellations must be made before a package is picked up or shipped. Once a package is picked (from Sender/Pick-up location/shop/Seller); any cancellation attracts a penalty charge-pegged at 50% of the total delivery cost. Packages may not be returned to Sender or pick up location until the penalty is paid. All refunds are subject to review and may be issued to a Sender, Receiver, or charged directly on your wallet or original payment method.

Responsibilities of Parties

Senders are responsible for accurate package details, safe packaging, and lawful contents. Senders and Receivers MUST provide accurate location details at all times. Riders/Droppers/Drivers are responsible for timely, safe, and professional handling of deliveries between pick-up and delivery locations.

Liability & Limitations

Yellow Package is not liable for delays or damages caused by unforeseen circumstances (traffic, accidents, force majeure). Liability for lost/damaged packages is limited to declared value or statutory caps under the appropriate laws and regulations of Ghana.

Package Delivery & Confirmation

Receiver of a package, as per such terms that may be established with Sender, bear all the pertaining responsibilities when packages reach destinations/delivery locations/drop-off points. Where a Receiver or Sender anticipates a delay or change in availability for package collection; he or she MUST make an alternative arrangement such as nominating a trusted person, shop, house, office or anywhere within a 50-metre radius of the original delivery location. The Rider/Dropper/Driver may wait up to 3 minutes ONLY at the delivery location; and thereafter either leave the package at the destination or return the package to Sender, Drop-off point, or any other location as may be determined by Yellow package. All additional costs incurred shall be borne by the duty bearer.

Full payment for the applicable delivery cost MUST be made by the duty bearer (either Sender/Receiver as indicated on the app/website) immediately packages reach delivery location without delay. The duty bearer for payment owes it a duty to have enough money in their wallet or account to enable successful payment. In-app or digital payments such as MoMo preferred; except under technical challenges-where cash may be accepted instead. Package(s) will not be given out until payment is done. Where a contentious moment arises at delivery location as a result of Receiver or Sender misbehaviour, penal actions shall be taken against the party. Deliveries must be confirmed by OTP or QR scan. Once confirmed, Yellow Package’s responsibility ends.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our platforms for any unlawful activity, fraudulent purposes, harassment, or distribution of harmful content.

Intellectual Property Rights

All Yellow Package trademarks, logos, software, and content are protected under Ghanaian and international law. Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute without prior consent.

Data Protection

We collect and process personal data under our Privacy Policy and Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, fraud, or misuse. Users may also deactivate accounts by contacting support.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall be resolved amicably; including application of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. Otherwise, they shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Ghanaian courts or regulators.

Updates & Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our Services after updates constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. As such, all disputes shall be subject to the legal regime of the Republic of Ghana.
